My son's birthday party is this coming Saturday and I loathe goody bags full of crap little toys that never make it out of my car. I always try to find something that's a little different, useful, yet still fun.  I found some kids shirts on clearance last year for $1.50 each and I got the entire lot.  My son has had glasses since he was 2 and loves music and monkeys so i started sketching and came up with this design.  It's silk screened and done with a photo emulsion kit.  Now my husband has me all paranoid that kids actually like the little crap toys and aren't going to care much for a tshirt.  So i've bought a chinese yo-yo and some candy to include with it.  Smiley

oh. and his bday is 09.08.05 Smiley

For what it's worth, I'm in my 30s and would wear that. (Then again, the SO calls me his monkey and I wear glasses sometimes.  Grin)  Really well done!

I stenciled tshirts one year for my son's birthday and it was a huge hit!  I got the shirts at the Dollar Tree and went to town on them.  My son still wears his like 2 or 3 years later.  I don't remember how long ago it was but amazingly enough he still can wear his and does!

I also got some candy and trinkets and turned it in to an activity... we did a scavenger hunt... I printed out a bunch of rhyming clues and had the kids try and guess where their next treasure was hidden.  It was a huge success... best birthday party I ever threw!

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!
