So..  A few years ago I started finding tennis rackets at yardsales for about a quarter each, and decided I could probably make something pretty cool out of them. But now they've sat in my basement for so long, they've hit that do something or take them to Goodwill phase. I've got 7 or 8, what do  you guys think I could do with them? The only idea I could come up with is to use them as a earring holder, but I only have a couple pairs of earrings, and I have a really nice jewlery beauro type thing...

Make the center a picture frame for something sports related? Or an old fashioned picture of women in those long dresses playing tennis?
Cut off the handle, use the center as a base for a mobile, or wind chime?
If they're in good shape, donate them to a local school or youth oriented group. There are always kids who'd like to learn to play, but don't have money for new raquets.
Make the center into a neat wall clock for a sports themed room.
Use them as racks to dry flowers. The mesh is too big to use them for paper making, right?
Put a mirror in the middle, decorate the rest.
Think about it-it's almost tree shaped, isn't it? It could be the base that lets you make a tree to hang on the wall.
Good luck!

I love the shelf idea, and the project on readymade is super inspiring!
