I made this bird for my grandma, who taught me to crochet at the beginning of the year. I made it right before we moved across the country in June. She passed away of cancer on August 17th. I did make it back in time to say goodbye, but I had to get home and she died while I was traveling home, so I wasn't able to attend her funeral. But I asked my mom to get this bluebird from her house and hang it in the church so I was there in spirit.

I love that her head is bigger than her body.

Hanging out with my 3yo's bird collection before going to her new home

The pattern is from "Amigurumi Two!" by Ana Paula Rimoli. It's supposed to be part of a mobile, but I just made the big one
