Cut them into 1-inch pieces and cover with yarn, they make really cute and expensive looking napkin holders.

If you have access to the autumn issue of Green Craft, you will find a cool idea on page 78.

If not, here is a quick run down of what to do.
Staple the tops closed, paint any color you like, add some pretty paper or ribbon to the top to cover the staples. Then you can add paper flowers, or any other small cool papery crafts to the roll, throw on a name and you have a place setting, or you can use it to label items on a shelf or what not.

although not exactly crafty, you couuuld decorate any way you like, love the napkin ring idea..., and use for loose cords(vcr, stereo, computer) i used this in old house with ex.. really handy.

We save them for fire starters, stuff them with dryer lint and fold in the edges and they work great to get our fires going all winter long. If you don't have a fireplace they are well received by those who do. Not the craftiest idea, but they can't all be gems right. =)

I think the toilet paper art is just gorgeous! Some really nice idea's on here.   I've saw the cut paper then put on the wall. these were used from one side to another,.  I want to do this in my class to make some sort of tree.
