As a curvy girl, what are your favorite and most flattering patterns.  I need to go buy some patterns, and I was wondering what other curvy girls had found and liked.  Thanks in advance!

I like VOGUE Easy Options -- they can be altered without much trouble.

dress--mccall's M5535---this is my most recent fave..wear over leggins...very comfy...good fit

shrug--new look 6559---this is a couple years old...have made at least 6 of these in different colors...fits a little snug but it's knit so that's ok

dress--new look 6185---also couple of years old...have made all 3 dresses in at least 5 different stretchy fabrics & the fit is great but the cotton fabric one was too snug under the bust so my lucky sister got it!

and my most used of all...pants--.simplicity 5562---this is about four years old & i have made dozens of these...long & short in every fabric you can imagine...they are a staple in my wardrobe!!!

For curvy girls' patterns, I LOVE the Khaliah Ali collection through Simplicity.  They're genuinely designed to flatter women with curves, not just cover them up.  Other than that, though, there are a lot of different types of curves, and different design elements are going to flatter each of them differently.

my current favs are:
Skirt: Simplicity 2416
Tops: Simplicity 2634, McCall's 6085
Coat: McCall's 5718
Dress: Butterick 4790 <- haven't been brave enough to make this one myself yet, but I have a pic of my grandmother when she was my age (and size!) in this dress, and she looked so gorgeous!

lissablair: I've seen Butterick 4790 done many times and really like the look of that one too.

Simplicity 4070. It sizes up easily (even though it only comes up to a 22) and it is very flattering.
