*Almost* Completed Sorority T-Shirt Quilt with pictures!

I couldn't wait to post until I was done because, frankly, I don't know when that will be.  It took me 4 years to actually get this project going...and I still have lots of t shirt pieces to make a second quilt!

Anyhow, I posted before about ideas for a layout and I finally decided to just pick all of the ones that were roughly the same size, trim them and (in the words of Tim Gunn) make it work!  Hence the need for a second quilt.

So the part that isn't finished is the actual quilting.  I haven't decided how I want to do it.  Doing the little yarn ties at the corners seems like the easiest option, but I don't know if I will like how it looks.  I just got a new sewing machine that's better for machine quilting...so I might try something more difficult, but I don't want to ruin this blanket.

Great job!  I have been collecting shirts for a quilt for my husband of his favorite teams.. I appreciate the work you've put  in! It's a little inspiring to get going on mine. as for quilting.... let me know what you decide 
I think I would probably send mine out to be quilted

Did you use any interfacing or have any tips on how you got such even squares?

I cant wait to do this with all my sorority tees after I graduate!

I did.  I ironed on the interfacing in pieces bigger than I wanted *before* I cut out the shirts.  It made them easier to cut and also ensured that the interfacing would go up to the edges.

I have a ton more shirts cut out.  I should probably start on a second quilt...or finish this one.
