If you’ve ever had the pleasure of playing one of the Mama games for Nintendo DS and Wii, such as
Cooking Mama or
Gardening Mama, you know Mama has been a very busy lady since 2006!
For those of who have not yet played with Mama, here’s a little background. In
Cooking Mama, you learn the steps to making delicious recipes with the help of a character named “Mama.” Your stylus becomes a universal cooking tool as you prepare raw ingredients, whip up full recipes and even cool down your food by blowing in the microphone! After Mama mastered the kitchen, she stepped out into the garden with
Gardening Mama. In the garden, you grow everything from flowers and vegetables to fruit trees. You decorate the garden, play against other friends online and even dress up Mama with new outfits, hair and accessories!
And now... Mama is challenging everyone to master crafting with
Crafting Mama! Learn 40 different projects across a huge variety of crafts: make aprons, mini Mama dolls, birdhouses, patchwork quilts, jewelry, mugs, candles, kaleidoscopes, flower decorations, and so much more! Look for
Crafting Mama in stores this October 26th.
In honor of this upcoming release, we’re challenging you to craft Mama on Craftster! Our challenge to you is to make a pixel project of Mama. What is a “pixel project”? A pixel is a single point in a raster image. So a pixel project is that same concept, but on a larger scale. Here are some examples of pixel projects throughout Craftster (These are examples of pixel projects in general. Remember, your challenge is to
make a pixel project of Mama!):
With Mama as your inspiration, your pixel project might be a quilt where the squares create an image of just Mama’s face, Mama’s entire body, or even Mama in her garden or kitchen. Maybe you'll use tiles to create a mosaic wallhanging of Mama. Maybe you'll use sequins to represent your pixels and you'll create a tote bag adorned with Mama.
