hi everyone! i just have to say first that all of the things you all make are so amazingly beautiful!!! I sure wish I could sew :/  ...  i finally finished this the other day . . took about two months slowly on & off - made of bright & anodized aluminum as well as rubber rings for straps.

grrr, sorry for blurry pictures, but i apparently have a shaking problem!! had to take some without flash to show the sort of drape the maille has, scroll down for pics with flash)

with flash on = less blurry

and on white:

yay! so happy to have finally finished it!

If you say 'plz' because it's shorter than 'please',I'll say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

This is awesome!
I think that putting all that chain together is definitely comparable to sewing Smiley

I LOVE THIS!!!!  So awesome, and inspiring.  I'm just getting in to maille but I'm obsessed.  What gauge wire/size jump rings did you use? Did you follow a tutorial or figure it out as you went?  Again, wonderful job!!

thanks, guys!!

it IS very addictive! i used 18g 1/4" bright & anodized aluminum - the new anodized black from the ring lord which is oh-so smooth and has a great lasting finish. the rubber is 16g 1/4". i had started making a different shirt from a tut on mailleartisans.org, started with a bra - now that needs a tutorial because of the seams and such, but this one, I had seen a pic kinda like it on the ring lord's forums, but it was straight aluminum, he didn't like his own use of straps and it was more like a very short vest. Essentially the main part is just 2 huge triangles! so that's where I was inspired from. super easy, just a lot of work. especially when you start out with triangles too small and have to expand them  Undecided. all you need to know is euro 4-1!!
