I'm about half way done with my dry run, so far so good. May be able to start the actual project this week if all continues to go well.

90% finished with my book! It turned out THICK... but I love it so much that I want to send it. Smiley I was so tempted to keep it... Ugh. xD This is what happens when you make a thing you end up loving. But despite it's thickness, I just need to bind it and send it! Smiley I hope Cassiecat likes it as much as I do!

I have a feeling we're going to have alllll sorts of different books Smiley I think I might have to start when I get home... I think I'm going to go in a different direction than I originally planned, and I want access to my craft room!

Still just have my pages cut and prepared. . . I am trying to decide on the content and what tone I would like my book to have. I know my subject matter but how to actually approach it...we'll see. I'm brainstorming!

I made some good progress this weekend; hopefully, I'll be able to finish up next weekend.

Now, a question-- my plan A for binding was to use some 1" binder rings (like the ones on the robot book in the first post). I have a box of them, but for the life of me I cannot get them open! (The rings, that is; not the box.) I have 3" ones that I managed to open with a lot of prying, but the 1" ones will not budge. Is there some kind of trick to it, or am I pathetically weak?

You have to pull them apart sideways then open them. I don't know how else to explain it :/ look closely at the way it closes and you will see notches that hold the rings closed.

I'm sending mine out to my partner tomorrow ^^;;
I'm really happy that I spent most of today finishing it - I love it. Smiley I really hope she does too.
I'm not sure if I should post it here but I have some tiny teaser photos Grin
