I also received awesomeness from dulcet yesterday.  I originally intended to give my headbands as presents for my nieces but these are too cute to give away, and just my style.

The first is made with velvet buttons threaded onto the headband blank, I tried to take closer pictures but my son has been playing with my phone and it has jacked up my camera.

The second one is a leather cut out butterfly

I really love both of them and have already had to fend off my sister in law over the butterfly one.

thanks dulcet!

I'm glad you guys like them!

Mymymissmai--My boys understand all about being mama's model.  When I sew for my neices who are their ages, I beg them to try stuff on to see if it'll fit.

nmcakemom07--I was trying to figure out how to do "butterflies" with "not girly" and just happened to have the perfect thing on hand.  It was just too easy.  And I have to say I love your hair.

OMG I think the hardest time for me to make a headband for is for nmcakemom07!  It's not because you're picky or anything like that.  I just love girly stuff and I love making girly stuff!  LOLOL.  I went up to my sister and said "what is steampunk?"  She had to show me pictures.  I made something I think you will like because it's uhhh for a girl...but not girly.....

oh and my sister's definition of steampunk was "it's gadget-y during the sherlock holmes era"  imagine my confusion...thus the pictures.

I've argued with my fellow geeks over the definition of 'steampunk' many a time, but never heard it put quite that way.  Even tho its not for me, im super excited to see it! I love to see fresh takes on steampunk. (I prefer "Post-Apocalyptic Neo-Victorian' Because it just sounds absurd! LOL)

I love that you use your son as a model! LOL I should start using my roommates, they are the closest thing I'll ever have to kids.

We have some amazing headbands in this gallery, and plenty more on the way! We organizers still need to hear from quite a few of you, though... Be sure to PM when you send!

I just received my beautiful headband from G. Beller it is soooo simple but so cute, it's a ack thin headband with grey seashells and I looooove it so much cos I love anything oceans related. I promise to post pics this weekend cos my Internet is down and my iPhone is not letting me post pictures.

I am glad you like it, although I must confess the shells did not come from the Ocean, I picked them up off the shores of my hometown on the Gulf of Mexico but that's close enough, right?

OTAY! I received an awesome headband from mymissmai today!

It's a gorgeous blue crocheted headband with an oyster on top and a cute little pearl peeking out!

The pearl even has a little face! This is so cute! Mai did an awesome job with my nautical theme--this is so unique and quirky. Thanks a ton!

An utterly gorgeous flower headband from our awesome organizer, CleanFeelin:

Love the shimmery colors and the iridescent beads in the middle. Thanks, Colleen!  Grin

An amazing wire-wrapped bead headband from edenkitty:

Freshwater pearls and jasper! So beautiful...I love it, Eden.

And a lovely vintage fascinator-inspired headband from shortern:

I love the colors and style, and I think it looks a bit like an adorable fried egg! The size is perfect too...thanks a ton Erin!

I'm SO GLAD I joined this swap...these headbands are so much more unique and my taste than anything I could ever buy. I hope my partners like mine as much.

I love the pearl headband!  So very cute!

thanks to everyone for the compliments on my hair, I am blessed with a hairdresser who is also my best friend of over 25 years, and we have fun once in a while with my hair.  This last "experiment" really paid off!

@ mymymissmai  I'm sorry, I know that I am difficult but I am super excited about your headband.  Can't wait to see it!

squeal!!!  I'm glad you like your headband, hgddm!!!  I wanted to make something nautical, but not the average nautical type thing.  No anchors for me!  LOL.
