OGD, your hoopla wall looks awesome so far!!  My one hoop looks very lonely - I guess I'll have to make a couple of hoops while I'm waiting for next round!!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

yey, Pixiefirefly received! I'm glad you like it and it looks awesome on your wall!

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I used crayon tinting. Also its a Urban threads pattern. I love the way it turned out (and am very happy to have a version for myself even if it has some blue lines on it)

I received today too but my camera of course needed to be recharged right when I went to snap a shot. So pics coming soon!

This is just crazy. I was thinking to myself this morning after seeing the monarch hoop, that I would love to try my hand at some more advanced filling stitches, but rather on a luna moth. WELL, muddy21 has been such an awesome partner and saved me the work Smiley She took inspiration from my wist and created this awesome piece. The gold body and all the black outlining is embroidered, and the fabric choices really pop from my wall.

She finished off the back with the scientific name and her info. I blurred out the signature muddy, but I figured it was ok to leave in the location. (let me know if you want it removed)

I really love it, and it's the perfect jumping off point for my hoopla wall.

This is my new favorite hoop! I only ever thought of hoops in terms of simple words with maybe 1 thing on plain fabric before seeing this gallery. My eyes have been opened!!

Ohhhhh, it's beautiful.  I love the fabric colors and choices, and the outlining really defines the design.  Lovely!

I am seriously panicking, everyone here is sooo talented and I would love to be in round 2 but I doubt my skills would measure up. I've finished 3 embroidery projects and 3 cross stitch projects but dang! girls you all rock!!!
