Notes about Sending, Receiving, and Feedback
SENDING: Take pictures of your items before you send. When sending, you must use a DC# (or for overseas keep that receipt). Keep your receipt until your partner receives. PM organizer and partner when you send.

RECEIVING: PM organizer and partner when you receive. Take pictures of received items. (Please take quality pictures, like ones you would take of your work.) Post pictures in gallery in a timely manner.

FEEDBACK: Given when a package is received (verified through PM or DC#) I will be keeping track of what has been received by gallery pictures (This is why it is important for you to take pictures of your items, just in case your partner does not) *Please PM if there is difficulty with pictures.*

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Yay, I received!  And get to post the first pic.   Wink  All I can say is it is absolutely, positively perfect!!!

and a close-up:

Crayon tinting I think?  Sugar skulls and owls, it gets no better than that.

I am off to hang it up on what will be the beginning of my embroidery hoop wall.  Thanks experimentl, you rock.   Cheesy

And yes, it gives me terrible swap anxiety, and I haven't even started stitching yet!   Shocked

What a totally incredible start to our gallery!! I love the black fabric - it really makes the bright colors in the design POP.

xperimentl - would you be willing to share with us how you did the tinting on the roses? I've never seen anything like that on dark fabric.

I agree, the black fabric really makes the colors pop.  As far as the coloring on the roses is that really crayon tinting?  Im using crayon tinting on mine but, Im just giving the desigin a slight hint of color. As all the crayons tintings I have ever seen have been very light.  I do like the deep color on the roses though, so it would be super if you shared your technique.
