This started as a man's XXL short sleeved, button up shirt (sorry, no before pics). I got inspired the other night and this is what I came up with! I cut the dress front so the buttons would be offset. I used new fabric (stretch jersey knit) for all the brown. The buttons on the dress are all still fully functional. I made the waistband so that it starts and stops at the button placket so all the buttons can still open. The purse is made from shirt remnants. I made the handles and flower out of the jersey. I put some non-stretchy ribbon inside the handles so they wouldn't get stretched out. The hat is made from jersey. I love how it all came together. I drafted all the patterns for this set.









I opened the top button so you can see how the collar is attached

Absolutely GORGEOUS!  I wouldn't even have guessed it was an upcycled shirt!
