I can't BELIEVE I forgot to post here about The Life Craft!

After nearly four years of planning, I am delighted to announce that my Dearly Beloved and I have opened our brand spanking new shop on Great Western Road (click here for a map) just a block up from the corner of Byers Road in the old 'Go Potty' shop.

We're Glasgow's first and only Boutique Crafting experience offering workspace for artists & crafters, providing classes in a plethora of craft disciplines and also offering yarn, sewing & knitting patterns, sewing machines, haberdashery and much more for sale. We sell hot & cold drinks and cake AND we've even thought about the kids with paint, playdough, hama beads and more available to entertain your kids.

We have a couple of craft nights that are free to attend - Monday night from 5pm we have 'Purls of Wisdom' knitting & crochet group and Wednesday night from 6pm is our 'Sew Solid Crew' sewing group. Crafters & artists are more than welcome to use our space at any time but these are the two nights set aside specifically for these groups.

We'd absolutely love to see you so pop in for a cuppa sometime Smiley

Fantastic! I'm moving into my new flat at the city-end of Gt Western on Thursday, I'll be sure to pop in and say hi. I'm absolutely useless at motivating myself to get out and craft so if there's somewhere on my walk home to catch my eye maybe I'll get a bit more done this year! x

I trekked over from the south side about a month ago to check it out but there was a lot of wool but not much else.  I'm not knitter so I was a teeny bit disappointed.

Though I'm sure it'd be great for other crafters, plus it's quite handy where it is.

Awww, I'm sorry you were disappointed Sad

We are working hard on getting some fun and appealing new stock in without replicating what's readily available for our Glasgow crafty friends, if there are any product lines that you'd like us to stock then please just ask and we'll do our level best to get it.

To be honest, the retail side of things is to compliment the classes which are our primary focus. Loads of exciting new options this month and that's only going to expand as the next few months pass. I hope next time you visit, you feel a lot happier Smiley

Grin I'm SOOOOOOOO looking forward to your sewing classes - I was in around last week (I dunno, all the days blend into one) and one of you predicted my baby'd be overdue - which it is! *shakes fist*  Tongue So, once it decides to show itself, and once I get some moolah, I shall pop my deflated self down and sew sew sew!  Roll Eyes
