I claim edie22 for handspun yarn.
Claim
2
of 3, 0 in transit, 0 received.
Hello! My name's Diana and I'm from southern California.
I live with my husband whom i recently married (Sept. 5th, 2008), my chihuahua mixed dog, Georgie and the newest addition to our family, my rat terrier dog Sophie. I'm a part time domestic goddess, but a full time art geek. I go to a local community college and am a studio arts major (drawing and multimedia emphasis). My favorite color scheme is pink-black-white. My favorite colors in order are pink, red, seafoam green, electric blue, and red-violet. I love polka dots, circles, argyle, and plaid. I also currently have an obsession with zebra stripes. I also love leopard print but in unnatural colors (I really dont like the orangey yellow and black spot). I have more info and links to my wist, facebook, etc on my profile.
For my boy dog, I love to see him in primary colors and anything you would typically associate with a little boy (like race cars, rocket ships, etc). He's typically a size "Small", but if you need any measurements I have them around here somewhere. He loves rope toys, plushies, and any treats that look and smell like something you would eat yourself.
For my girl dog, I kind of like to dress her like i would dress myself lol lots of pink, black, white, red, and purple. Lots of patterns esp. zebra print and leopard print.
For my hubby, his favorite color combination is blue-black-white. He prefers solid colors, stripes, and minimal designs.
Allergy note:
I have a wool sensitivity, mostly around sensitive areas like my neck and my forehead. I have extremely sensitive skin, so no soaps or lotions with a lot of chemicals/artificial ingredients. Hypoallergenic, home made, or organic skin products only. My hubby is allergic to cat hair, so please wash anything that might be in contact with a cat.
My favorite scents are Vanilla, Strawberry, and Citrus.

I claim DesignVigilante for knitted slippers and a boxy pouch or two.
This is my third claim, one in transit, one received.
I am 20 and a college kid living in Fredericksburg, VA (USA). My style is pretty haphazard--I never coordinate anything, so my decorating style is whatever I like, all cobbled together. I love bold prints and art deco and fun colors, but I'm not a fan of pink or orange. I love dark colors, like maroon and navy. I knit like a fiend (almost constantly) and also crochet, sew, spin, and dabble in paper craft. I really want to learn weaving just to add to my crafty repertoire. I have cats and a dog at home, but not at school, and they all stay out of my crafting supplies. I don't have any allergies. PM with any questions!
**=especially want
Crafts:
- Pot holders/trivets (I love quilted ones)
- Headbands—preferably the hard ones (as opposed to just elastic). I prefer simple and understated to large and complicated.
- Framed art (drawing, painting, embroidery... anything really.), Grey's Anatomy, grammar, knitting, Futurama (but not Bender cause I have lots of Bender art), or Battlestar Galactica-themed would all be awesome, as well as various generic snark, hilarity, or pretty-ness. I have some favorite quotes too, so pm if you want more specifics. Also, I've recently gotten WAY into Buffy the Vampire Slayer (I've finished through season five and I have the hugest crush on Willow ever) so non-spoilery Buffy themed art would be cool too.
- Ceramic mugs/bowls/dishes. Pottery is one craft I know I'll probably not get the chance to do, so I love looking at other people's.
**- Padded laptop sleeve for Norah, my macbook. Not really picky as to material, but if it's argyle, I'll love you forever.
**A nice handbag. There are a couple of examples of my style on my wists. Something fairly plain in shape in a solid color or fun print. Fairly large (I carry everything with me), messenger style, crossbody strap, lots of pockets.
- Handspun yarn
- Shawl pins/brooches.
- Cloth Napkins (I have a couple and I'd like to have a lot. Cotton or polyester is fine
**- Some sort of earring organizer thing, preferably the type with like, a mesh screen thing in a picture frame. I'd love to display my earrings as currently they're in a jewelry box.
- Things from my wist
Supplies
**- Embroidery hoops
- Roving/Top for spinning (combed or carded)
- Large buttons, preferably in sets of at least four.
- Yarn (natural fibers only, please), especially greens (like, forest or kelly) and blues or neutrals, any weight
- Lino carving tool thing (for carving stamps)
- Large erasers or rubber base thingies for carving stamps
- Thread (any color)
**- Tapestry needles. I am ALWAYS losing them.
- Machine sewing needles (I go through them so quickly) regular, but also leather/denim.
- Kool-Aid/dye for yarn/roving (I actually really need some red at the moment for a Halloween costume project)
- Awesome fabric--abstract/geometric prints, swirls, Amy Butler-esque, or linen. I love linen. (Linen-look cotton is also great)
- Resin kit
- Purse handles (especially longish ones)
- Felt (acrylic or wool, I don't mind either)
- Wooly Nylon (for carrying along with sock yarn that doesn't have nylon or mohair)
- Easy sewing patterns—bags/purses, especially messenger style (but not regular tote or drawstring cause I can do that), simple blouses, skirts, and shorts. I'd love a simple shirt dress. I'm a US size 2 or 3 but please pm for more exact measurements.
- Headbands—the hard grippy ones. For decorating.
- Embroidery floss, especially metallic, red, and black. But all colors are welcome.
Extras
Knitting/crocheting books (but pm first)
Paper crafting/card making books
Sewing books/magazines
Back issues of Interweave Knits, Knit1, Knit Simple or Vogue Knitting (or any other knit mags; please pm cause I do have somes)
I'll never say no to chocolate or candies, especially gummies.
