Anyone think a mad libs swap would be fun? The questionnaire would involve a paragraph with words left out & instructions to fill them in with noun, verb, etc. That info would be used to craft for your partner. (Of course, the allergy/sensitivity & important stuff like that would be separate.) It would be up to each person how they wanted to fill out their "mad libs". You could fill it out like a regular questionnaire & give the person basic info about yourself, or make it a little unusual, or throw caution the the wind & fill it out like a regular mad libs (without looking at the paragraph & just filling in words randomly). For instance:

"I have number adjective noun with me at all times."

Could be filled out:

I have two male children with me at all times. (Partner might make something for kids)

I have a million crafty ideas with me at all times. (Partner might send a journal for ideas)

I have 1 slimy apple with me at all times. (Who knows what partner would do with this. Maybe an apple cozy? It would be fun & interesting though)

Make sense? Too crazy? Sound like fun?

If I were to organize this, what would be some good mad libs to include in the questionnaire? I'd want it to be pretty open-ended & vague so people could fill it out in lots of different ways. Any suggestions?

Where do you live, what do you do for a living, what are some landmarks  or local attractions where you are, favorite foods, stuff that really bugs you, what kind of house you live in, what animals live with you, what you do during your favorite season, what book you last read, what movie you recommend, the craziest crafty thing you ever made, a real craft flop of yours, your fave thing about your spouse/ best friend, your most dreaded chore, a secret you'd be comfortable revealing.

This sounds like so much fun, if it was a low point swap, I could totally do this. I mean I would still probably over craft, but when it's a high point swap, I tend to use too much money on postage and hubbie isn't too happy (not that he complains too much because he knows I love swapping Cheesy ).

Yes, I do think this sounds like fun. How many points were you thinking? Three or so?

This is novel, and it could be very fun, keeping an eye on this one too - what time frame are you thinking?

To be honest, I hadn't thought of a time frame or size yet. I guess I'm kinda open on both to what everyone would want. I'd be fine with something kinda small - 3 or 4 points. I think I'd rather do it sooner (maybe in September) rather than later because I'll probably start Christmas crafting soon.

I think I would be interested, but would have to bow out if the send out is end of September because I will be away at the cottage for the last week of September and not able to send until the first week of October.  If that is acceptable, then I would gladly give this a whirl - it sounds fun, and a small swap would be good for me.  I have been part of some intensive ones lately and would like a few smaller ones right now.
