If I get asked, I'm going to wear it to my homecoming dance next month. Smiley

OH. MY. GOD!!

that dress is AMAZING!! love, love, LOVE it!!
plus, I thinks it looks great on you Wink

is there any chance of you making a tutorial about it? or post where you got the pattern and stuff from?
I'm really a beginner at sewing, so I'm not really sure how things work... so I'd love to try this dress one day.

What a great job you did on this dress! I say, don't wait to get invited to homecoming--do the asking yourself! That dress, and you, are too pretty to stay home!  Grin

Wow, thanks so much everyone! You've all totally made my day.
Nad- I based it off the Simplicity 2693 pattern. But I wanted 4 ruffles instead of 3 so I had to do some math and change the lengths of the other three ruffles to make it even. I also added sleeves as the original pattern was strapless, but they were easy. You could totally make it though! I'm not an advanced sewer (seamstress?) myself and I did it. Smiley Good luck!

And thanks again for all your comments everyone! You've made me feel so good. Smiley

Sooo beautiful! Did you use a pattern, or just go with it? It is beautiful and so are you, and I'm sure you'll get asked Smiley

But really, you should go out either way to show off that beautiful garment!

Great dress and you should wear it to Homecoming date or not.

I went to a high school with a bad girl-to-guy ratio.  So for homecoming one year I went with three other girls as "dates."  We got ready together, a parent lent us an awesome car (it's amazing how much more accommodating parents are when they don't have to worry about having "the talk"), had a really nice meal, and had a blast at the dance.  Women will always out dance guys anyway at these things.

The next year I went with a guy who asked me and it was boooooooring.  Dates are overrated.  Smiley  Go be fabulous.

Your dress is beautiful.  Not only is it age appropriate, but the color is perfect on you.  I agree with everyone here that said you should go with some girlfriends rather than stay home.  You and your dress deserve to have a wonderful night out!  Cheesy

It's so much cuter with the sleeves, and it looks fab on you! I wish I knew how to sew when I was your age. And even if you don't get asked to homecoming...go anyway! I had the most fun at the proms that I went to stag with a group of friends.

Wow, I had no idea how many nice and thoughtful comments I'd get! Thank you so much everyone, you have no idea how good it makes me feel. Smiley
And I'll keep you all updated about getting asked but if I don't, you guys are totally right, the dress deserves a night out! Smiley So thank you for motivating me to go even if it's just stag.

Kochopia- Not offended AT ALL. Quite the contrary actually, I think she's gorgeous! So thanks so much Smiley

I'm jealous!  I don't think I could ever sew such a pretty dress.  I might be able to knit one, but I don't think it would have quite the same effect.  Heheh.  And I agree with everyone else - you should go to the dance with that dress, date or not!

It's wonderful!  Adding the sleeves was a great move.  It's nice to see a flirty, youthful homecoming dress that also has a bit of modesty.

Your photos are very nice too.

It's beautiful and looks very well-made! (Not that I'm a good judge . . . ) I hope you go, even if no one asks you. I love that it's modest without being all, This Is A Modest Dress; it just is. . . . does that make any sense? It looks like itself; it doesn't look like a modest version of another dress is I guess what I mean.
Anyway, too cute! Definitely go to your homecoming!

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.
