A couple of years ago I made Sock monkeys of Snape and Dumbledore.

and

Well recently, after watching the Very Potter Musical and Very Potter Musical Sequels on You Tube, I have been working on making a sock lion Rumbleroar and a small sock monkey Draco. (To fully appreciate all this, you may want to watch those musicals on You Tube yourselves. They are fantastic!)

Anyway, so here they are, Rumbleroar and Draco...

Rumbleroar is made with the original red heel socks so he has nice red lips and, um, butt.
Draco is made with a small pair of socks that don't have the red heel so he's got white lips and bottom. (He's wearing a tiny diaper I made from the upper part of Rumbleroar's sock). (Again, you'd have to see the musical to explain that one). LOL!!!

Rumby, as Dumbledore calls him, is made in the usual sock monkey way. I only added the front face part to make him look like a lion. I shortened his arms and legs so he's not all gangly like the monkeys, and I crocheted this huge mane around his head.

I used the upper part of his sock to make the shirt/riding saddle blanket he's wearing which I stitched on "Pigfarts" (Pigfarts, according to the musical, is another magical school of which Rumbleroar is Headmaster. It is located on Mars, by the way). LOL!

You must all think I'm totally insane! LOL!! Well, maybe I am!

Links to all things from my old sock monkey tales to a Very Potter Musical are all in my latest post of my blog. The link to that is in my siggy below. Thanks for checking out my dolls!
