I received the most beautiful mini quilt from pinkleo yesterday!  (I had come home late Friday night hoping it would be there, but alas, the mailman made me wait till Saturday afternoon.)

The quilt is called Moonrise, and I absolutely love it.  It is currently brightening up my rather drab hallway.  (Our hall is a tiny square room, with all other rooms in the house radiating off of it like spokes on a wheel, so we have to walk through the same ugly room to get anywhere else in the house.  It really needed some art!)

Enough chat, onto the pictures!

Detail of the painting of the face:

Have I mentioned that I love that she shimmers subtly?  Because I do!  I can't decide which part I love more the shimmering/sparkling, or her beautifully done blue hair...  So pretty!

Detail of the 3-D elements, which include stuffing of the Moon Goddess, and heat-set rhinestone stars!

And here's another whole quilt shot, to show you the wall she now graces:

Isn't that the perfect size in that space???

THANK YOU PINKLEO!  I LOVE IT SO MUCH!  Kiss  Kiss  Kiss

Oh no!  I forgot to include a picture of the awesome fabric Pinkleo sent too!  It's just too cute for words, and I'm debating what I should make with it.  I'm leaning towards cute skirt....

I love the little rotary cutters, and tomatoes.   Cheesy

Very pretty ^_^ I love the sparkliness of her, too! And the way her hair flows and turns into the night sky!

YAY!  I'm beyond thrilled you like your MAQ! Grin  (I fretted terribly the whole time!)   As an utter newbie to quilting (and just a step up from newbie in machine sewing...just a baby step up), I learned tons & tons from this project.  Thank you dear jennie & organizers for such a wonderful swap! Kiss
