A friend and neighbor of mine recently let me shadow her at work for the day. I'm about to be a senior in college, so the tour of the office and the conversation that followed was really useful in helping me figure out my future.... :/ Anyways... I thought it would be nice to make her some sort of thank-you gift.

I got the idea of making a "cubicle sweet cubicle" project from the Subversive Cross Stitch. Instead of cross stitch, I made my own pattern using Helvetica font and then traced it onto the fabric with pencil. Once I had completed the stitching, I wrapped it around a piece of cardboard with batting glued to the front and then stapled it on the back. I made it to fit in this old frame my grandma had lying around the house. I ended up using fabric glue to glue it into the frame because the frame had no backing or closures. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for looking!

LOL!  That is fantastic.   I love it!  ...But I still prefer my tiny windowless office with its cave art.   Wink

What a great idea for a thank you gift!  I'm sure your friend will love to display it in her cubicle proudly!  Cheesy
