Here's what I came up with for a scrapbooked recipe book. I decided on a 6x6 book that way I could buy one piece of paper and cut it up to get up to four sheets out of it. This is a recipe I got from my husbands mother, it's wonderful and quick to make! I hope you like it. I'll be putting all the cards in so they sit veritcal (as shown in picture). I put the recipe on top and then variations we've come up with over the years at the bottom.

The paper the recipe is actually printed on is a orangey/beige color.

That's a great idea, wonderfully done!

It would be so great to make some favourite recipes in this way for gifts.

I'm using a 6x6 scrapbook to put them in. I'm trying to find side loading 6x6 scrapbook pages, so I don't have to worry about them slipping out if I prop the book up to cook with.

Thats a great idea! Since its still technically a scrapbook, You should add photos of the dishes as you make them! and maybe a spot for family reviews would be cute!? or maybe comments? Like "maybe next time use less garlic, husband's breath was NASTY"

lol, great job!!

I was thinking about adding photos, if I could just remember to take them! Usually by the time it's done cooking I'm ready to EAT, haha. I love the comments idea, that'd be awesome and funny I bet. I'm trying to get all my family members to send me the recipes they use, that we all love. I'm hoping with the holidays coming it'll be easier to get everyone to fork (no pun intended) 'em over!

Yeah, lol, nobody lets food get cold in my house either, Maybe you can take the photo at the table while you guys are eating, that way you'd also have a photo of the facial expressions of the people eating it!

Lol, maybe if you make a recipe book for your recipe contributors they'd be more likely to contribute their recipes? I know it sounds like a lot of work, but i think it'd make an awesome xmas gift for your relatives!!

That's a good idea. The good thing about doing a 6x6 album is that I can get at least one more recipe from the same page.. Or I could shorten their version and do a recipe on one 6x6 page, instead of two. That'd make it easier to do.
