I was originally inspired by ModCloth’s Hotel Particulier Dress. While perusing Burda Style’s June 2010 issue, I found a similar-looking dress pattern (#126) and decided I’d give it a sew. After choosing zany avian fabric, of course.

If you'd like to read more sewing-specific 'blahblah', I've written about it on my blog: http://cthuliz.com/blog/?p=915

Isn't it cool? There was no way I could resist buying it. I bought it on ebay from this seller. It looks like they still have a bunch more of the same type.

It is a beautiful dress, with the kind of cut that is flattering to every figure type. I love it, especially in that gorgeous peacock silk fabric!
