One of the dresses from my recycled fashion show/senior project last fall <3

Made from a vintage dress shirt given to the girl in the photo (who also modeled it in my fashion show), by the wife of her mentor after he died... it meant a lot to her to be able to wear it on a day-to-day basis, and seeing as we've been friends for 12 years, it meant a lot to me to do that for her  Smiley

As I said before, this was made from a single dress shirt, six buttons from the shirt and less than a yard of ribbon....I dare you to figure out which part of the dress is which part of the shirt  Wink

Oh wow that's pretty!
I love that you've used the collar as a waistband, from the first photo i thought you'd done some sort of slight shirring, but i got it in the close ups, looks really pretty, and the cuffs too, great use!

I love "clean" reconstructions that use every bit of the original.  And the meaning behind your dress makes it even more special.  Would you ever do a tutorial?  You know I'd be raiding my father's and husband's closets (and the thrift store, and TJ Maxx, and the Salvation Army, etc.) for shirts.  How clever!

That's really gorgeous.
I'm a sucker for dark colors, and the dress with the green of the trees is amazing!
