This is a project I made for a friend's birthday.  I was given loads of material, many of it tiny scraps.  Within the mounds of fabric, I came across TINY vintage pieces.  I decided that it would be PERFECT to make a pillow with.  The base is also vintage (I'm guessing brushed cotton) and pieced together from scraps as well.  The buttons were in my stash and I cannot remember where they are from, but they were OBVIOUSLY destined to become pillow adornments!

The pillow:

The log cabin piece is more centred than it looks....but it still is kinda wonky (which I was going for!

Close-up:

Vintage delight!  A combo of cotton and poly, with a bit of knit in it (the orange fabric).

My dear friend was very happy to receive it, she is a textile-lover like myself!
