I just moved to Louisville this summer (my boyfriend's been here a year) and we're moving into the Highlands in a couple weeks--super pumped!  I'll be making my rounds in the Bardstown Rd shops soon (and the pubs, as we'll live right amongst the Irish stretch Grin)

Anyone have craft night at art shops or coffee houses in the Highlands area?  Downtown?  Frankfort Ave?  I'd love to meet some cool people!  I'm 23 and I love all types of crafts (seriously, it's a problem) and I also love all types of people!

I'm willing to organize a craft circle in the Highlands if there is interest in participating! Find a place... pick a day... plop down and craft Wink

Let's get a Louisville board with some chatter, y'all!

Hi!  The only craft meet up that I know about right now is at Skull Alley every other Thursday at 7 pm.  There is one this Thursday 8/26.  Here is the facebook page for it.  http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=141776595854362&ref=ts  it should be pretty close to you if you are in the Highlands.  I'm not in the Highlands but if you get together a Craft Circle I know a few other Craftsters in the Louisville area that would be interested.  Welcome to Louisville!    Oh there is also a place called The Makery that I think is on Bardstown Road, they have a bring your own craft night on September 2 from 5-8 pm.  Hope this helps.

Thank you, Kim! Those sound awesome! I'm in a fitness class on Thursdays from 7-8pm... booo. I may try to go before/after, though! Do you ever go to these?

There's a coffee shop called Quills Coffee in the Highlands that might be a good place to meet up and do small crafts. Other than that, I've only explored some bars and an ice cream place thus far Grin I know a couple girls who might be interested as well. Maybe one evening in September we could try to get some people to meet up? Let me know what you think!

I haven't been to the Skull Alley meet up yet, every time they have had it I've had conflicting plans.  I would definitely be up for a meet up in September and I know a few girls who I could ask.  Just let me know what works.

Hooray for Louisville crafty ladies!!! I would love to do this, and know a friend who might be interested  Wink

I live in the Highlands too, Becky, and would love to meet up and talk some shop... Or make some, too! Organize it, and I am there.

And thanks, Blackstitches for the link! Hope to see you again soon!

Awesome! I have a friend coming into town, so I'm going to be bumming around the Highlands most of the weekend. I think I'll pop in Quills Coffee (and any other place that looks good) and scope out some digs for crafty-goodness! I'll pick a place and date and get back to you guys on here sometime in the next week or so and we can go from there!

For now, I'm thinking the week of the 19th. Any preference to weeknights vs. weekends?

Either works for me really, just would prefer afternoons if it was a weekend... During the week, I am pretty available after 4.

Same here, either is good with me, but evenings are best.  Thanks for putting this together!
