I will be extending the sign-up deadline to the 5th of September. Big Brother said so. Smiley

There's lots of ways to do this swap without spending a dime - recycle an old book cover, use found papers (freecycle is really good for this) use the supplies you have on hand.

I do have a TON of paper on hand..... it is all colored/patterned, but that could work. Hmmmmmmm... ok, you convinced me  Wink

I'm gonna do a practice run this week and see if I can do something that I'd be okay with swapping, but I expect that I will definitely be signing up for this one. Thanks for the encouragement and inspiration, -zoma-!

GESSO! i just discovered black gesso (where have I been, under a rock?) and have discovered that, like white-out, gesso solves many problems. Pattern too busy to write over? gesso a nice white square onto it. Paper too thin? gesso it. My book is sitting downstairs with waxed paper between the sheets drying because I gesso'ed four pages this morning. (word of advice, be patient and do one page at a time Smiley  )

Keep your eyes on the first page, I'm going to keep adding links as I find them - there are some absolutely fantastic mixed paper journals on Craftster, and if you haven't seen them, you should!
