I've been seeing alot of designer bags around lately with chains sort of woven into the handle of the bags...

like this: http://ckchanelhandbags.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/chanelbags1113inwhitewithgoldhardware.jpg?w=445&h=335

and i was wondering if anyone has ideas on how to make them? in particular, do you think the chain is the actual handle and the fabric/leather/pleather is woven into it or is the fabric the handle and the chain in woven onto it? and how would you finish the ends of the handles? and attach it to the bag?

Well, it seems that the easiest way is to weave the leather through the chain. You could probably attach the chain to the bag with rings similar to these: http://kpixie.com/catalog/images/noni-bag-rings.jpg (I know it's not a chain handle, but perhaps you could attach the leather ends to the ring?)
