Sounds fun, but not sure I have a ton of crockpot recipes that I've actually used before. What the heck do I usually make in that thing?? Grin

If you're anything like me, you probably have two or three things that you make and that's it.  I use my crockpot for turkey/salsa dip, a cheater's version of beef stroganoff ( how the heck do you spell that?), and to throw a pork roast in occasionally.

Would it be cheating in the very worst way to ask my friend who uses her crockpot at least once weekly to provide me with a few of her favorites and use those?

I vote it's not cheating... but my vote doesn't count as I forgot to get my voter's registration card.

You know what would be awesome for this swap?!?! If instead of a traditional gallery, we had a thread in the Cooking forum where we could post photos of what we made from the recipes.... OM NOM NOM!

If you ask her now, you should have time to test them out before send-outs! Wink

I was going to give up on swapping for a while (at least until I've dealt with some of my own projects...) but I've been trying to collect crock pot recipes, so here I am...

When we did the recipe swap, we posted a list of the recipe titles that we recieved and if you did make any of them we also posted a picture of the finished product. There was also a second round of swapping where some people requested copies of recipes listed in the gallery. It worked really well.

Here is a like to the gallery from the last swap:

I agree that since there are probably some very tried and tested recipes used for crockpots in most households that there may be some double ups. But when I'm trying out a new recipe, I like to view several different versions of a dish before I start and use ingredients / techniques taken from several recipes when I'm making my dish. Maybe we will recieve different variations and maybe even improve and renew your excitement for a recipe you have made for years.

BTW, MareMare, have you signed up already? I promise you won't regret it, especially when you come home and find dinner is already made!
