I am racking my brain to come up with something that kids would like and is not really expensive for a couple of bazaars that are coming up in the near future.  I made this little panda and put a chain on it so that a child could wear it around their necks, or the chain could be shortened and made into something to put on a key ring or purse, backpack or belt loop.  I could also put a ribbon there instead (a short one) or just leave it with nothing it then it's sort of like a pocket pal.   The panda is only about 2" high. Which one do you think kids would be more drawn to - of course, I could offer than in multiple ways, but I thought offering it in one way would be easier on me.  What do you think?

LOVE this!!! Want one!!!

How about adding some sort of clip instead of a chain? Little things dangling from backpack zipper tabs seem to be all the rage around our neighborhood. That way, the kids could clip it to their pack or a beltloop or a key ring or maybe even a cell phone if it's small enough; apparently, the coolness factor lies in the item being seen, rather than being tucked away in a pocket.

You could add the ribbon loop to attach the clip. And I'm talking VERY inexpensive clips. You should be able to find these in packs at Walmart or Lowes / Home Depot. Granted, you'd probably want to add an age / small parts disclaimer!

That is very cute!  Personally, I think offering one thing, one way will make things easier for you and the kids won't really know any different.  It has been my experience that if it is cute, the kids will like it.  Smiley

I'd worry about adding clips/chains due to the choking factor.  Maybe have them on hand to offer along w/ a purchase?  That way the parent can decide if the child is old enough to have a chain or clip (and takes the responsibility off of you).
