it IS Friday, isn't it?

Roses in June fiber from Freestyle's Fiber Club (hehehe alliteration!)

I only spun up a tid bit of it, because it was my first core-spinning project in months! remember when I would ONLY core-spin, always? yeah, well I'm still in love with the technique, but it's taking me a bit to get back into the swing of things.

Lilliac (pronounced lil-eye-ack). cormo, bamboo and coopworth from a batt I conjured up ages ago. so stinkin' soft.

where is everybody? it's already Saturday! I might be back with more later if nobody else posts Wink

Nesse, that turned out lovely!  The colours are amazing!

Where is everybody?!?

I might have to post as well Tongue  I'm one of the ones who are guilty of checking out the gorgeous fiber on Fiber Fridays...but I'm usually too lazy to post.  Gah, I wanna see more fiber!!

Well, we had tax free weekend in TX for back to school. Clothes, school supplies, etc. are tax free for one weekend. So it was INSANE in TX today. Everyone from this area were out shopping!

Why hello SML!!  It has been ages!  So, does fiber count as a "necessary school" supply?  It should, no? Wink

Okay, here's my meager contribution to this week's Fiber Friday Smiley  It's about 6 oz of mostly mixed wools (and the odd bit of angelina and smidgen of silk).  I call it "Happy  Yarn" because the colours make me smile Cheesy

I know!!  I was kind of heartbroken when I didn't see any Fiber Friday posts on Friday, but then I didn't have any new projects to post of my own.

Nesse, Roses in June is gorgeous!  It looks so soft.

Loves2experiment -- that Happy Yarn is one of my favorites I've seen in a long time. How did you blend the fibers?  Did you just grab alternating chunks of different colors as you were spinning, or did you somehow combine the colors before spinning?  Happy is the perfect word to describe that yarn.   Smiley

I get in moods where I get craftily lazy. I've been in one for a while. lol. I need to get back into it. Maybe I'll have a spinning day tomorrow.

Great yarns, y'all!

I had a bag of oddball fibers that I've been saving for a long time.  Some were from other crafters in the STS swap, and some were leftovers from other projects.  So yes, I randomly grabbed bits of fiber and spun it...it was a fun experiment! Cheesy

beautiful stuff ladies!  I'm still here... not spinning so much as I'd like, but my oldest goes to Kindergarten soon, and I'll beable to squeeze a nap out of the 2.5 year old every day.  yay!  Then I'll be at the wheel some more!
