I came across this awesome tutorial: http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/accessories/17507-how-make-cuddle-cup-requires-sewing.html

Its like a cat bed but scaled down for rodents Smiley So I made one for my two boys!

i used skull print cotton and brown fleece

a view from the top

close-up of the skull print, from the bargin bin at fabric land!

and now a bunch of pictures of my rats trying it out!

pokey is the big chubby grey one, and ludo is the dumbo rat Smiley

pokey getting cozy

and here's pokey digging around in it, making it just right Tongue it fits pretty nicely in the corner of the little shelf in their cage

thanks for looking!

OMG! They are adorable!!!!! Love the choice for as you said, "dumb" one, Ludo. The material that you chose was perfect for rats.

What a great bed!  And your ratties are so cute.  Cheesy
I was wondering.. have they been chewing it up?  I used to have rats and I remember them always chewing through the hammocks I made for them.  They'd also pull clothes that I accidentally left close enough into their cage, shred them, and use them in their nests.  Tongue  Hope the bed holds up alright -- it's almost as adorable as your rats!
