It took me a year and a half to get past my anxiety while working on my first quilt, for my son Everett. The intimidation factor was a major problem for me, especially since the only people I know who know anything about sewing and specifically quilting live too many hours away to get hands on learning from. So I bumbled through this one, but it looks awesome anyway - mistakes and all.

When I finally finished I was itching to start quilt #2 - I am pregnant and apparently sewing is my nesting behavior this time around. I got the last bit of fabric I needed on Sunday..this past Sunday. I finished the quilt last night. I think I have gotten over the intimidation. Cheesy

I love the colors on both quilts, and I really like the pattern for the first one.  The picture of your little one with the quilt is adorable!

What lovely quilts! You did a great job on these! I absolutely adore the color combination on the brown and blue one and the yellow one is so bright and cheery ^_^

They are both gorgeous!  I can't believe they're your first quilts!  I really want to try and make one, but haven't got over the whole intimidation factor yet...  Smiley x

I think it's great.  I also think that a quilt doesn't have to be perfect to be perfect  Wink

Once upon a time a girl named Indigo played with her Gran's sewing machine... the rest is fabric hoarding, sewing addicting history!
