So.. I made a Mario quilt for m friend's son and he loved it.
It was only my second quilt too! I don't have a photo of the first quilt I made because it's in South Korea with my ex lol.

Thanks for looking! Smiley

Great Job. It looks incredible and totally makes me think I need to make one of my own. Any advise to those of us who are thinking of taking on a pixel quilt?

Thanks for all the comments!

EllaRain: When I was working on my quilt I put blocks together of 9 squares or pixels at a time, it was easier than sewing a whole row. Also: chain piece! It just makes everything go faster.. And press as you go along Smiley

I always have music or a movie playing when I sew.

This is awesome!! I have had plans to make a quilt similar to this for awhile now but just haven't gotten around to it lol. Frankly I'm nervous it would take FOREVER.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! ^_^

To be honest I have no idea if it took me a long time or not.. I have no idea because I don't know the speed or pace of any other quilters lol

I would say it didn't take me long.. Maybe three weeks in total. I'm not working this summer so I had a lot of spare time lol

Do you know how big the blocks were when completed, or what the finished dimensions were? I'm trying something like this, and I was just wondering how big to make each pixel.
