OMW....i just opened the cutest swap package....thanks jexxican

i love the Punctuation Hoop Embroidery....i'll hang it proudly in my office at work (i'm a graphic & print production manager & part of my job is proof reading!!!)...that's part of the reason i don't use caps during my downtime....i'm a rebel....LOL

the Punctuation Stamps are great....when i was stalking you, i saw that you're new at the craft....great job....(i'll use them on the note i'll enclose on an Angel package i'm sending out tomorrow!!!)

the Mushroom Apron is absolutely adorable....i'm now contemplating a mushroom-themed dinner party!!!

but the ultimate me gift...a Crocheted Candy Corn Hat....i love, love, love it....hubby said...."cool, if it's cold on Halloween you can wear it!" lol....what he doesn't know is i'll be wearing it every chance i get....

thanks so much for the cool stuff....i hope you like what i made you as much i do yours....

i won't be able to post pictures until monday....so if you have some, jexxican, please post them so others can marvel at the cuteness!!!

a side note....when i spell checked this post prior to posting, i was given the choice of "zigzagging" instead of your name, jexxican....i thought that was quite amusing!!!

Yay! She liked it! I was really not anxious about this swap, like I knew she would love it all. And then I received mine today and holy cow, I received way better than what I sent. Sad

Here's a little of what I sent her:
The punctuation day embroidery:

and the embroidered apron for mushroom month:

I had a lot of fun with those. I love seeing how my creations look in their new homes, though, so I'll let her post the rest on Monday.

And now here's the crazy loot she sent me!!!
There's a learning to make hairpin lace kit for Lace Making Day inside this, which uses fabric for Talk like a pirate day and preserve the ozone layer day (it even looks like she put beads on the "planet green" square for where we are in relation to each other in the US!):

SEE?!

Everything was so nicely done! Like, the notes for each item and the instructions for the hairpin lace (found online) were matted and tied on with pretty blue ribbons. SEE?!

And then, since I love the MOHs so much, she sent me a nice wreathe with removable interchangeable ornaments. Velcro on most, like the lace flowers for lace making day:

though the earth one for preserve the ozone layer day was attached to a ribbon and there were pins on it so I could pin it on. AND THERE IS A PIRATE FOR PIRATE DAY! ARRRR!

Isn't Gebah awesome?!

I got my spoilerific package from Najaorama a couple of days ago and finally got a chance to post pictures!

first, she sent an adorable moon phase bib for my son for the Full Moon:

I tried to get action shots, but let's just say it was put to good use before I could get the camera ready!

then a handful of fabric fortune cookies for Fortune Cookie Day:

such cute fabrics, and the fortunes she put inside are great!

And a great skull and crossbones fabric for Talk Like a Pirate Day:

I have so many ideas that I could use this for, now I just have to decide!

And finally, my favorite, she made a great embroidery for Tolkien Week:

It says 'Not idly do the leaves of Lorian fall" and has a super-awesome vintage leaf pin!

and of course, the whole kit'n'kaboodle, with a great card from the Institute of American Indian Art:

Thank you so much, Naja, and thanks again to our wonderful organizers~

I'm glad you like everything.
I thought you might make a flag out of the fabric but use it for whatever.
And the embroidery was my very first go round.
I think I'm addicted.

jexxican...so glad you liked the stuff....i had a great time creating for you...i'm gonna try to get hubby to take some photos later (but i'll have to see how they come out....i went to a Pat Benatar/Neil Giraldo concert last night and didn't get home until after 3:00AM....i'm WAY too old for that....LOL) my girlfiend convinced me to sneak down to the better seats....lol, so glad she did....the concert was awesome!

glad you noticed that i added pearls to the map for joisey & texas (your "true" home)....i know you love this swap & thought it would be nice if in later rounds people were stuck on what to make you they could add other "ornaments"....

p.s. if you attach the globe under the "hanger" it hangs down in the middle and looks a little better!!!

when does the next round start!!! lol
