***update***
I redid them with tiny jewels instead of the beads and I like them much better...but I still think I need a gel overlay? to keep them on for longer than two days.

Sorry for my big head pics. Cheesy

I've already bitten off the beads and pearls and nail glue...bad habit, I do the same thing when I get my nails done. Which is why I stopped getting them done.

I think if I can find smaller letter beads I'll re try it...the beads I used were just so big and impractical I got annoyed the first day.

Can anyone recommend any products for the next time I try this?

xoxo

What a fun idea! It would probably annoy me too on my nails. Hmm, what about little nail stencil/stickers that are letters? Or do you want it to have a little thickness to it?

I like the deco effect but I may have to go with the stencils cause I'm afraid anything bigger than a little jewel and I'm going to be tempted to gnaw it off. Cheesy

I bought some nails stuff for my sister, and it occurred to me that you could just print out tiny things on your computer to put on your nails. A couple of coats of clear and you wont be able to get at them! Smiley

I would suggest stickers...they're flatter. THe beads would make me bonkers too...even though they look neat!

I use acrylic molds, you just pop a bit of nail acrylic in them, and let them harden, you can either put them on your nails directly and just let the acrylic stick to your nail (don't let it harden all the way for this) or let them dry completely and glue them on.  You can find them on ebay by searching for "acrylic nail molds".  I have stars, flowers, the alphabet, skulls, and strawberries Smiley  Oh, and I mix pigments with the nail acrylic to color it so I don't have to use anything other than clear polish on top.
