*teaser pic*

So a good long while ago, I saw the challenge pop up in the new projects thumbnail line-up and kept it in mind.

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=351332.0

First I want to show off my dress form! I got her at an auction for $7.50 Canadian, in the box! Her name is Martha, and she is an Adjustoform from England Cheesy

On to my challenge entry! I bought a huuuuuge 25 pound bag of rags for $21 at an auto supply store for use as, well, rags Tongue There's a motorcycle to fix, after all. The best part is that this bag of rags contains such cuuuuute fabrics! The pieces are pretty random, but that's half the fun! One of the best pieces is a grey, yellow, mauve and pink floral that I want to save for something special, but I LOVED the colour scheme on it. So I reached back into that rag-bag and pulled out a few pieces of ribbed flannel in white, grey, mint and pale pink as well as some mauve rib-knit. Then I attacked a sunny yellow jersey bedsheet that has already been murdered for fabric, and VOILA!

This is the second incarnation. The original was full length pullover with the mauve a solid piece below the waist. I decided it looked... unflattering, hence cropping it into a more adorable form. It was so hard to choose good buttons! I didn't have 4 buttons in a good colour that were the right size (all too big, darnit!), so in the end there's 3 yellow domed buttons on the yellow panel and one purplish domed button on the mauve band.

Comments and critique are welcome, as always Cheesy

I like this a lot!  I'm always interested to see what people can do with small pieces of fabric, because I murder so many projects, my fabric keeps getting smaller and smaller.  I'm impressed with your resourcefulness!  No one would guess it was made with rags.
