Famous composers - ring in

I have a really good friend whose birthday is tomorrow. Over the weekend, I decided to make him a present. Ages ago, I bought some fabric with cameos of famous composers on it, as my friend loves classical music, and is a fantastic pianist. I decided to make a cushion for him, but pimp it up a little to personalise it. I embroidered a silhouette of my friend dressed in old-timey clothes, then sewed the embroidery onto the fabric.Here is the finished product:

I was kinda surprised by how good it turned out - ie it actually looks a little bit like him!
I love piping on cushions, so I used some musical notes fabric I had for piping:

I gotta admit, I just love how it turned out. I'll be giving it to him tomorrow - can't wait to see his reaction

wow this is so amazing! the fabric is great, the pillow would have been awesome without the embroidery but it is sooo cool now. your friend is going to love it!!
