I have just recently gotten into embroidery, and I think I am hooked!  Here is my most recent project:

I used split stitch and backstitch for this piece.  It was a lot of fun to do, and worked up really quickly.

Definitely needs a good ironing.  The friend I was visiting liked it so much I let him keep it (and told him how to iron it).

I love this!
What will become of it now? Framing, pillow, hooped?

I think my friend said he would hang it up for awhile until he finds something awesome enough to sew it to. I'll have to follow-up with him to see what he decided.  I am thinking about a series of weapon embroidery, I think it's so funny on the flowery fabric.
And I forgot to write in the original post: C & C welcome and appreciated!

I love it! And the fact that it's on the flowery background is great.  Grin I hope to start embroidering soon, too.

Fine, fine, I finally made a Pinterest

indeed, happiness it a warm gun, lol.  I love this piece.  Especially the femme fabric and color stitching.  Your stitching looks very good!  what a lucky friend you have.

Very cool.  Red stitching really adds something to the image, too...
