I made this bracelet for the lovely Foxy Sam as part of a Harry Potter themed craft swap.  I'm new to making jewellery (all I've made are a couple of button bracelets) so it took me a while to figure out what I was doing.  It's a bit odd and clunky but I like that.

I decorated a box with chamber music (Dumbledore's favourite) and quotes from spare copies of the books.

I used red, blue, green, gold, silver and bronze coloured beads to represent the Gryffindor, Slytherin and Ravenclaw houses because I think that Dumbledore would have belonged in any of them.  I made a lot of the charms as I couldn't find the ones I wanted to use.

The charms are: a map of the London underground (Dumbledore's birthmark), a head boy badge (in Gryffindor colours), Gaunt's Ring, Dumbledore's portrait, a phoenix, a deluminator, a mermaid (because he can speak mermish), bowling pins (one of his favourite hobbies), socks (the thing he most desires...maybe), a bumblebee knitting pattern, Tales of Beedle the Bard (containing his notes on resurrection), Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore (containing his letter to Grindelwald) and the Elder wand (or, y'know, a little twig of elder).

It's not the neatest thing but I'm sure I'll get better with practice.  I might even make something that even non-Potterheads would ever want to wear.

So pretty and unique! Im a fan of the "usual" charm bracelets you see on this board, but sometimes I think its a shame that people tend to stick to conventional themes so much. Your work really stands out from all the bracelets made of readymade charms!
