my friend's band was to play, and i was to be their most hardcore fan. how am i supposed to be hardcore if i have no clothes? (going naked was not my answer. im quite modest. Smiley) so i went to the warehouse, puffs, whatever it is called now, and i saw this black shirt. i mean, the poor thing wasn't even a regular black shirt. it was screwed up in the back, the side had something crazy going on, and it was just UGLY. i couldnt leave it there all by its lonesome. so i bought it for fifty cents. Smiley. i fixed up the back and the side, and then took the scissors to the shirt and made a cute little monster. i call him hogarth. you can too. well. enough of that. here he is.

can you guys see it? my first time posting an actual project on here. i do mostly browsing Smiley. im not too technologically advanced. if anyone would like a tutorial on how to make their own hogarth, just comment on it. its really very easy. tell me what you think!

alright. here is a quick tutorial. .. i would give one of those handy pictoral ones, but i dont exactly know how. yep. so here is where you start:

1) slash hole however big you want the mouth to be.

2)turn the shirt inside out and fold back the flaps.

3) choose a background fabric, and cut out some teeth froma sturdy white fabric that washes well with the other fabrics of choice. i chose this fleece-y stuff that is actually more stiff than normal. sew the teeth onto the background fabric.

4) back to the shirt. sew the background fabric onto the flaps, and all around the rest of the mouth to ensure that it doesnt unravel or whatever at the corners of his/her mouth.

5) turn the shirt rightside out, and you have your own little monster.

i failed to mention above that this was inspired by the monster on the ripped jeans posted here earlier. i dont know who posted that, but when i find out i will give them correct reference.

sorry this is confusing and poorly done. but im glad to see hogarth has a few fans!

That was me! I'm glad I could inspire someone. I really like what you did with the teeth.

It is easy to see Hogarth's monsterliness, but the picture makes it hard to tell his shirtliness.  Is that what the front of the shirt looks like?
