I found the back to a uh, rococo-ish (?) sofa at a flea market and decided to make it my new headboard
Upholstered it with black fabric and silvery trim to go with the wallpaper. As I didn't know how the outcome would be I went for the cheap and easy route. Cheap fabric stapled directly on the back and used a glue gun for the trim. There were two small holes where the back hade been attached to the sofa and with tho huge screws the worked perfectly to mount the new headborad directly on the wall.

I'm so pleased with it!!

I am AMAZED at the transformation -- I'd've NEVER thought to use it as a headboard, and it so totally works! If the fabric's cheap, you sure can't tell from where I'm sitting.  You have every right to be pleased with this; if I were you, I'd be over the moon! And you used staples and a glue gun -- my favorite upholstery tools!  Cheesy

Consider yourself "rocked!"
