A friend of mine is having a baby boy, and she is doing his room in giraffes.  I was going to make her an amigurumi giraffe but decided to do something different.  I found a picture of a giraffe and graphed it (which to me was the hardest part) I used filet crochet to make it.  Here is the picture. It is going to the baby shower today!

Hope you like it.
Thanks for looking!!

This is one of the cutest blankets I have ever seen. You did an amazing job and that is one lucky baby.

Your blanket turned out le cute. I really like the picture you chose. I am contemplating trying my hand at filet crochet and your blanket may be the project that makes me go pick up some graph paper and a hook...

Awww! You're my source of inspiration now, because I got the crazy idea to do a filet crochet blankie for my sister too...

Do you buy special graph paper? I just buy paper with squares :p

This is adorable, a definite heirloom.  The style is so different from the baby quilts and blankets you usually see now.  I'm sure it will be the hit of the shower!

That's awesome.  There needs to be more filet crochet in the world.   Smiley

Aww, so cute! It reminds me of the giraffe that was on our son's birth announcement, I love it.
