What a fun weekend! I brought out the sewing machine every now and again...such as for the newsletter page...I'm the wacky one at those groups!  Smiley
My sister has started one and she even has one for each of the kiddos...well, the three youngest anyways...=]

Thanks for looking and for comments!

I think I may have to join in on this  Smiley I've known about junque journals but ever since I signed up for a book arts class I've been fascinated by them. I think I'm going to bind the pages though, rather than gluing them in. Good thing I'm going home soon, so I can bring back a bunch of memorabilia to work with. Well that and culling my out of control paper stash.

yay another joiner! I'd love to see your journal very soon! Grin
I haven't worked on mine in like 2 months *the shame* But after my exams, I'll have plenty of time to add and finish some more pages!

SheepBlue...would love to see your JJ project...the artbook that you showed is stunning!  Very nicely done! =]

I've found an ongoing gardening journal that I've not worked on for a couple of years.  I'd make drawing to show flowerbeds and list plants to add/divide, etc.  I've also gotten the flower info cards from this year now to add in and report on progress from season to season...Not quite JJ, but another thing to work on this coming weekend! =]
~Scrappin' @ my sister's place Fri. Nite and that includes updates in the regular book and now this one!~

I've been culling and organizing my stash since me and the bf are moving to a new apartment next week and have set aside some papers and whatnot to go in the JJ when I get back  Smiley I can't wait to get started. It highly annoying having all your supplies packed up and not having instant access to them.

Congrats on your new place...bummer on having things packed away...=/...but that will all be over soon and then let the crafting begin again!  Cheesy
My sis canceled her scrapping get-together because a friend was in town...so I'll have to get to mine next week.

I'm all unpacked now and have taken out the paper I'm planning to make my JJ with! Folded a bunch of it last night. Now to figure out how I want to arrange each signature and the cover....I'm thinking of just using plain undecorated bookboard for the covers and embellishing them after the fact.....we'll see, I have to go through my stash. But I'm crossing my fingers I'll get to binding the whole thing this weekend!

Are you making a Teesha Moore-like scrapbook?  I'm trying to imagine the usual notebook being jazzed up with new signatures and a cover... Smiley
I've only organized my scrapbooking things into a new spot and am re-using the old portable drawer set for fabrics/yarn downstairs in the basement.  I would love to be JJ soon.... Roll Eyes
Right now I'm in seriouis yarn destash and finishing other WIPs!

Huh I hadn't thought of that LOL. Strange as that is the TM project that TM herself did the videos on but I never made one - I just jumped straight into bags. I don't think that I'll do that for my JJ now, but maybe in the future.

I'm really trying to tame my paper stash by giving away/throwing away/using up what I have, and I'm doing wildly well I think. I'm down to one big bin. I went through it already to see what I should include in my JJ but I might make one more pass to weed out my stash once more. It feels really good to actually use up so much of my stash that I've just been hoarding forever.

Yay finished the bones of my junque journal today!

I am in love with this!! I finally gave up hoarding my best papers and stuck them in this book I'll keep forever. I also included a bunch of scraps from projects, prints, art, etc that I've made over the years.

Here's the link to the post I made, very picture heavy.
