Love it! It has so many personal things in it, I'm impressed! I have so many interesting knick knacks strewn all over the place, I never seem to have them around or know where they are when it comes to putting them in the same place, like a journal. What a wonderful way to take a trip down memory lane Wink

^^ Thanks! I keep all those papery things in a grand envelope (from a card I got for my birthday) and when I find something I like or want to keep and place in the journal, I put it in that envelope. That way everything's together Wink

Happy Holidays fellow Craftsters!  Is anyone doing a Christmas themed Junque Journal?  I've been having a blast the past two days sticking wrapping paper, tissue paper, cards and stamps into a composition book.  Rubber stamping and some crayon add color to the collage.  I've saved the net bags from our ham and the oranges.  How to add them in is another question...

I haven't gone to look at the new video...but I will just after posting this.  You all are so good at posting your journals...I think it's amazing!  I'm glad that I can go and look and see more than just one photo....just don't expect me to anytime soon....I'll need some help to get that one going.  I am just about done w/ my first book.  I've got a small stack of things to add asap!!  =]  Also kept one piece of wrapping paper and a bow to add to my book.  I could have added more, but maybe next time! =]

Excellent job!!  Looks like there will be an update video in the future, too!!  Wink

Someone on another site was working on a Christmas JJ, AND a Halloween one! The Christmas one had various greeting cards received, but now that I think about it one could bind a whole book with folded greeting cards, and add scrap wrapping paper and gift tags and such to the uninteresting parts of the card!

I sent my 2nd big-fat junque journal in the Journal for a Month Swap:

There was a ton of writing and doodling but all kinds of random inclusions, as well. I was doing a lot with beeswax at the time, so there are a few beeswax collages. And I had a bunch of photos that didn't turn out from my first experiments with a film camera I received, so I used them to write on, front and back, taping them in a cascading line down the first page --

Lots of randomness...

@Calluna: that's a great idea! Or you could do that too with birthday cards. Thanks ^^
Wow your second journal already! Looks interesting! Could you tell me more about your technique with beeswax?

There's a bunch of tutorials out there, but basically I just cover an iron with aluminum foil and melt the beeswax, then anything that gets put onto the hot wax stays stuck in it when it dries, and becomes translucent.

Love your journal, Calluna!  It turned out great!  Mine is much the same as it was the last time I posted...I'll be working on it soon! I've had things to finish up and housework to catch up on after our house is finally company-free...=]
