I just realized that my "art"journal looks more like a Junque journal! I just dont draw that much on it and tend to glue every little thing I like in it!

So glad I just found this! I started an 'art' journal, but I tend to paste more scraps of things that I dont want to throw away than I do drawing/painting/etc. This is what I've been missing! Excited to follow along!

I'm in the swap and am doing such a strange method for putting my journal together! First, I am taking either white copy paper or other plain colored papers and using these to write my entries on. Then, I am decorating each page separately and cutting out the entries from the plain papers and gluing them on in different orientations on the pages. After that, I will be putting the pages together and at the end of the swap, actually binding my book. I am however thinking of keeping the pages temporarily bound with some binder clips just so I can tote the journal around and add to it when I want to. I need to put some things together today, and hopefully will have time to take a few pictures to post here of my progress so you can see what the crap I am talking about Roll Eyes

Okay, so I have done a lot of cleaning and re-organizing today, so I haven't gotten around to doing what I send in the post above, but I'm going to hop on it sometime tonight!

Also, I'm trying to write every entry on a different kind of paper. So far, I've done two entries on copy paper (one is going to be crumpled, so at least the texture will be different), and one entry on mini notebook paper. I haven't done today's entry yet since I was so busy today, I will just be writing tonight. I have no clue what I'm going to write on yet since I don't have a big paper stash Undecided Any ideas? I'm trying to not write on my cardstock since those are going to be some of my page bases. I've thought of a paper bag, I think I have one somewhere that I could dissect and use, but other than that, I'm kinda at a lost here.

GREAT ideas! For today's entry I used a cute blank card that I'm going to glue into the journal. I thought about envelopes, since I am going to be using envelopes to hold things within the journal, it would be neat to write on them as well!

So I finally had time to sit down and work on the cover collages! Things have been crazy around here lately, I'm only able to get crafting in for an hour or two after dinner when hubbie is home.

Here is the front and back cover collages, I still need to do a little work on the inner covers. The back cover is on the left and the front cover is on the right.

Here is the stack of journal entries I have yet to cut up and mount to pages.

Here are some of the pages. I've used A4 paper, graph paper, small notebook paper, a greeting card, a piece of scrap book paper, an envelope with a notebook page stuffed in with an entry, and an accordion folded page.

Here is the envelope with notebook page and the accordion folded page.
