So my most recently finished cross stitch is of none other than Tinker Bell. I started this project when I was in North Carolina with my BF and was able to finish it by the time we had driven back to Texas. I love this project because it was the perfect size to work on in the car during our lovely 21 hour drive.

I have to say that after doing this project I despise using pearl filament floss, it is a pain in the butt, and it took my way longer to stitch tinks wings than it normally would have Sad. But I trudged on through and love the finished result.

And now for the pictures:

In progress shot, taken in the car... she kinda looks like an alien right now

A close up of the finished product, just look at those wings sparkle Smiley

And finally a full shot frame and all

The pattern had called for stitching Tinker Bell at the top between her wings but I didn't like the way it looked so I decided to omit that part. The frame is a random one I had lying around that I gave a couple coats of purple spray paint for just the right amount of pizazz. Now I just need to decide where to hang it, I move into my new apartment next week so we shall see where she ends up Cheesy

Thanks for looking!! C&C appreciated

I just started cross stitch again (I did 1 piece 20 years ago) I really enjoy it. It amazes me how uniform your stitches look! I guess I just need more practice lol

Very cute! The pearl floss on the wings is very effective, and I imagine was a royal pain in the behind to embroider with, so kudos. You must be very pleased with it!
