I have this diary that's been following me everywhere for 5 years and it's looking very sad, to say the least.
I decided to apologize for abusing it this way, so I made it a new cover.
I also found it to be a great project to try machine embroidering for the first time ^^

Like i said, the poor thing hasn't been treated right (I'm sorry)

I used a very dark grey woolen fabric for the cover and black thread for the embroidery, giving it a discreet prettiness (It's a real word because I say so Tongue).
The picture is very grainy cause I had to tweak it in PS to show the embroidery properly.
The picture on the right is the first machine embroidery ever and is on the back, while the left picture shows the front.

I also used my fabric tags for the first time <3 I found this leather thread and some heavy iron marbles which I attached as a bookmark.
The inside rips will be fixed with some tape and maybe a band aid for love.

Be kind to your books, they're awesome.

This kind of warms my heart a little. I know what it means to have a worn out diary and it's so great that you showed yours some love by making this elegant and just really pretty cover for it. Love the fabric tag too, very clean while still retaining that hand done, personal feel!
