So I've got a couple of metres of purple leather/pvc type material that I got because it was cheap and I felt sure I'd find a use for it at somepoint. A year into the future and it hadn't been used at all.

I don't know if anyone else has this but as I'm trying to go to sleep I keep finding ideas for clothes etc or ways to solve sewing issues pop into my head. It's getting to the point that I'm considering keeping a pen and pad next to the bed. Anyway this bag is one I was dreaming up as I drifted off the other night and when I awoke the idea stayed with me. I think it was prompted by a 1940s event we went to a couple of weeks ago.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out as I've not done pleats like this before - bit gutted that they are slightly off centre on one side of the bag but otherwise a happy bunny.

my boyfriend has likened it to an upside down chefs hat. His criticism as ever came with the statement "but it's very well made though"...

Very cool! I really love the polka dot fabric - it contrasts nicely with the purple leather material. I really like the big pleats too! Great job Smiley.
