I've been meaning to make a new computer bag for a while now, so this challenge was just what I needed to get me started. The only part of this bag that isn't recycled is the thread used to sew it together.

Sneak peek:

Here are the materials I had to work with:

An old computer bag that was literally falling apart at the seams

A dress that I made that doesn't fit anymore

A pillow that I made but never used

Part of an old robe (the whole back panel was missing)

(please excuse the face, I wasn't feeling well)

And the finished product!

Strap Attachments

Zippered Top

I sandwiched the robe fabric in-between the other two to give it a little bit of padding.

Nicely done! I like that it's still coordinated even though you made it up out of old items.

Great work!

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

The bathrobe pic is hilarious.  The bag is a wonderful re-production.  I wish that you had led off with the picture of the finished product, as  it is an attention grabber with the neat appliques.

Thanks guys!

I wish that you had led off with the picture of the finished product, as  it is an attention grabber with the neat appliques.

I just edited my post so the finished product picture is at the beginning as well. Thanks for the advice. Smiley
