Oh gosh. I've wanted to make one of these for so long but I kept forgetting to buy some ribbon whenever I was out! Well, I've finally done it! I'm so so thrilled with the result

The only thing I don't love is where I positioned the ribbon but it's easily fixed for next time.

So, I was thinking of making up a tutorial for the collar. It would start  with showing how to draft the pattern and then how to sew it altogether. What do you think? Would you be interested?

Here is the link to the tutorial. Do I need to put it on Craftster or is the link ok? http://pinklizzysews.blogspot.com/2010/08/detachable-collar-tutorial.html

This is super cute. Please do write a tutorial! I've been wanting a shirt with a collar like that for ages.

Great idea, did you make yours reversible? just a thought, double the outfit choices and double the fun but with only having to make it once. Wink

You could have plain on one side for a busy dress/shirt etc and colourful one side for a plainer dress (like in the pic)
